wax

These wax models are an investigation of form. I've been putting them together  sort of like a puzzel.
these waxes were formed from  the impression of bud form from a tree outside of my studio. When pouring the wax into the form I have about 3 minutes working time to pull the wax out of the mold and then form it by hand.

I am interested in the cellular forms
:the translucent quality of the wax
:the compositional elements of the multiple pieces
: the transformation of a natural texture into something  unrecognizable as the orginal
